Grape harvest season is on and Sitges, Spain is not only about beautiful beaches. This picture was taken yesterday in one of the winery next to the town. One autochthonous grape is Malvasia de Sitges which is a very well known winery. It makes a sweet and fragrant desert wine. The micro climate of Sitges with the sea breeze surrounded by the mountains make this wine particularly exquisite. It is interesting to know that the Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity recognise Malvasia de Sitges in their Ark of Taste. If you speak some Spanish check slowfood.es website.
